Kim Donaldson, better known as Ms.D., has been teaching since 1991. She has taught everything from pre-k through jr. college. Ms. D. is a graduate of Georgetown College with a BS in Communications and a minor in English/Business. She received her elementary licensure through Asbury University in 2011. Ms. D. grew up in Georgetown and loved moving back home from Lexington to live in her refurbished great-grandmother's home. She loves preparing this next generation in all the basics, but her favorite thing is teaching and learning about our Living God.
Jennifer Hamilton, whose hands-on and interactive lessons captivate her students, making learning an exciting adventure. With her caring nature and enthusiastic personality, she has become a favorite among her students, inspiring them to explore and think critically. Mrs. Hamilton is not only diligent and organized, but she also dedicates extra time to fostering an engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued. Outside of teaching, she enjoys a fulfilling family life with her husband and their two beautiful children, further enriching her approach to education through the lens of love and compassion.
Mrs. Beth has been teaching music for four years, during which she has successfully directed four Christmas drama programs and four spring concerts. With a background in event planning and a degree in graphic design, she also plays a vital role in marketing and building community partnerships for CCE.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Beth serves as the worship leader at Central Church, where she leads a team of over 30 people. She’s been married to her wonderful husband for 22 years, and together they are raising two creative, beautiful daughters.
Her greatest passion is sharing the love of Jesus and seeing the world through His eyes. In her free time, she enjoys camping, kayaking, and sneaking in a good nap. She’s honored to be part of CCE and is excited to see what the Lord has in store. Her life verse is Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Hi, I'm Christie Fain-Shanks, one of the founders of CCE. I have been in education for 28 years, ranging from teacher to administration.
Tony Shanks and I will have celebrated 35 years this summer. God truly blessed me with Tony. We have one son, Jordan (Emily) in Knoxville with our two grands, Easton and Oakley. We currently live in Richmond, but my home is where I grew up, Georgetown.
Join me in praying for God's hand to be with our every decision. It's all for His Glory, Ms. Christie.
My name is Donna McFarland, and I have been teaching since 1998. Being in the classroom with children and witnessing their minds expand while nurturing their love for Jesus fills my heart with joy. I am grateful for the opportunity to guide these young minds and help them grow not only academically but spiritually as well.
