First Parent Meeting to introduce CCE

#1: Welcome & Opening Remarks
- The mission of CCE: At Cornerstone Collaborative Education, our mission is to provide a Christ-centered, homeschool-style education in a full-time setting for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are committed to nurturing academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development through a blend of traditional and online learning tailored to each student’s pace. Our vibrant co-op Fridays enrich education with practical life skills—empowering students through hands-on experiences in areas such as cooking, gardening, financial literacy, and more. We also support the broader homeschooling community with flexible, à la carte course options designed to meet diverse educational needs.

#2: Daily Schedules
- K-5
- Monday-Thursday homeschooling quality curriculum

- Monday & Wednesday-SCOLA online, work at your own pace curriculum with teacher proctor
- Tuesday & Thursday-specials (art, music, technology, drama) and extra educational opportunities including, but not limited to journalism, debate, STEM
#3: Co-op Education
- Various options for co-op participation
- Ȃ la cart options for core classes and specials Monday-Thursday (price TBD)
- Lifeskills (including, but not limited to cooking, gardening, financial literacy, automotive care, self-care, social skills building) (price range $20-30)
- Community partners will be engaging students in their topics along with practical skills and enhancements.
#4: Academic and Extracurricular Activities
- K-5
- On site clubs and activities

- MS & HS
- Through SCOLA, students are able to participate in all public school activities, clubs, sports and events
- Early drop off and after school tutoring available
#5: Behavior and Discipline Review
- Current trends and concerns-schools are struggling to follow through with discipline and behavioral issues, making the classroom environment unsafe and distracted with numerous negative influences
- Parents and students sign the code of conduct and discipline outline
#6: Registration Process
- Schedule your interview
- After the interview, if CCE is a good fit for your family and student(s), you pay the $150.00 registration fee and $50.00 school supply fee (no school supply lists to manage)
- Multiple students discounts available (TBD)
- Co-op only students, pay the $50 registration fee
- MS & HS students register online with SCOLA in Scott County or your home county of residence. You can still register in Scott County, however, if out of county there is a $500 registration fee. If you are out of county and choose to register with Scott County, your CCE registration fee is waived.
- Pay the $150.00 CCE registration fee and $50.00 school supply fee
- Multiple students discounts available (TBD)
- The SCOLA program provides student chromebooks and technology assistance
#7: Parent Teacher Association
- Parents are encouraged to participate in the Parent Teacher Association. This organization assists in fundraising ideas, school improvements, on-site activities, and teacher/student support.
#8: Progress Plan
- CCE has made amazing strides in a short amount of time. Decisions have been made on curriculum, the CCE board
- We continue to look at various location options for CCE. Our goal is to find the perfect balance of square footage, location, and green space.

- Our next meeting is scheduled for June 30, 2025 at 6pm in room C-1 at the Scott County Public Library
